Mount Stewart Junior School underwent an Ofsted inspection in March 2024, and we are delighted to announce and celebrate that we were judged to be ‘Good’.

The inspectors were particularly impressed with the following areas at Mount Stewart Junior School, highlighting these as strengths:
- Nurturing and Supportive Environment: The school is described as a nurturing place where pupils flourish, feeling proud to be part of the Mount Stewart 'family'. The close partnership between staff, parents, and the community was praised for contributing to a positive experience for the pupils.
- Curriculum Design and Implementation: The school has designed an ambitious curriculum that is well-thought-out and carefully sequenced, enabling step-by-step knowledge building. This curriculum inclusively caters to all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
- High Expectations and Pupil Achievement: The school maintains high expectations for all pupils, which translates into strong achievements across their learning activities. Pupils are well-prepared for the next stages of their education.
- Personal Development Programs: The school offers an exceptional program to support pupils' personal development, covering topics like body image and healthy relationships, and providing enriching experiences through clubs and residential programs.
